Blended Finance: Building Alliances to Mobilize Catalytic Capital

The funding gap to achieve the SDGs in developing countries by 2030 is estimated at 2.5 trillion USD annually, and there is consensus that the private sector and capital markets need to be mobilized to fill this void. This session will explore catalytic capital as a new way to structure impact funds to accelerate capital flows in emerging and developed markets. Through Blended Finance, now impact investment funds unite efforts with governments and philanthropy to help unleash additional capital to reach the most vulnerable.
