Repsol FoundationRepsol Foundation contributes to creating a more sustainable future developing projects focused on the energy transition and society. This mission is in line with Repsol’s strategy and is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement.
In 2019 the Repsol Foundation set up Repsol Social Impact, a society aimed at investing and promoting companies focused on energy transition and the inclusion of vulnerable sectors of the population in Spain and Portugal. Repsol Social Impact has up to 50M€ for investing in social businesses and it already has a shareholding in four companies. The companies are focused on reducing emissions, sustainable mobility, the circular economy, energy efficiency,environmentally-friendly products and services.
In addition,The Entrepreneurs Fund of Repsol Foundation is an international business accelerator that supports the talent of innovative startups in the energy industry in order to contribute to a more sustainable energy model. Each year, the Repsol Foundation chooses new proposals that, along twelve months, will receive non-repayable grants up to 120,000 euros, technological and business advice plus the possibility of access to Repsol experts in order to develop pilot trials. Since 2011, Fundación Repsol has supported 60 startups, including the ones that just initiated their acceleration in September 2020.
